Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned
about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One
of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
On this page I'll provide a little information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this
information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing
this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!
My name is Linda and I am trying to post information on my family history to share with others researching the Wallace
family and other names connected with them. Grab a cup of coffee, tea or a ice cold Coca-cola and hope you enjoy the
site. I am adding a new page to add information on other Wallace/Wallis lines also for those searching for other Wallace Ancestors.
I hope this helps someone find who they are looking for.
This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.
I have some lines that have more than one parental lineage so it is anyone's guess at this time which is correct. Especially
from John S. Wallaces parents. The information I posted is guesswork by using dates etc. The difference in the spelling of
the names can be caused for different reasons. I try to post that any information regarding William Wallis and Ann Morrow
(also listed as a Wallace) as guess work after their names. Even when information about the family fits but the parents
or spellings are off, it remains guesswork at this point. I will continue to look until I do find the correct information
and will post it as I find it I also noticed Peter Wallace Sr. has 4 different parental lineages, one of which traces
to William Wallace (1274-1305) and Robert Bruce. I also found an Ann Wallace on the Stephens side of my family tree,
I will be posting information on this line as well since she is a Wallace. Good luck on your search and enjoy yourself
in the meantime.
